NC Silverlight Malice
Entry 1: NC Silverlight Malice has joined NightCloud Stables! Welcome Mac! Mac is an excellent Reiner all the way from Texas, and has competed on a national level! Even though he has been trailered far and wide, he did not trailer too well to our stable. He made quite the mess in the trailer and was constantly moving while we were trailering him. Let's just say it was a bumpy ride! Outside of the trailer he is no better at keeping still. I wonder if it is new barn jitters or his personality that makes him so hyperactive? He is currently 7 years old.

Entry 2: Today we found out Mac has a little... problem. He absolutely will not go near white animals! One of our barn dogs was sitting at the end of the arena watching us, when Mac saw it he turned tail and ran for his life! My butt bones still ache... We asked his old owners about the problem and they totally 'forgot' to mention his fear of white to us! At least they told us as much as they know. This is what they said:
"Whether it’s a white steer, a white horse, or a white bunny, all make Mac freak the heck out. Even if he look at himself in the riding arena mirror he spooks! For some reason it is only on animals, he doesn’t jump at the sight of white mittens or moving white cars, no, it’s just animals. It all started the first time Mac went into the rodeo ring.
In the middle of the ring stood a milky white calf. It was much smaller than Mac but the second he saw the tiny thing, Mac ran for his life, bust through the gate, and of the arena. See, he had never seen a white animal, all of the horses he pastured with were either bay or chestnut! What was this monstrosity?! He then began to notice it more often, and spooked accordingly. Once, he saw himself in the mirror during a roping lesson, and threw his rider immediately."
We have a new goal: Get rid of Mac’s fear of white animals.
